......Or three wise monkeys

Here you have my OC Herrick³. I had this silly assoziation in my mind and can't drive it off.
The three different poses symbolize the mental states of Herrick during his captivity by Gillermo and afterward.

First: His shame about his own weakness and Gillermo's abuse. He can't stand the look of his own face with the scars Gillermo gave him.
"I don't want to see anything anymore......so you can't see me anymore."

Second: After passed the victim-stage, rage and rebellion dominated Herrick's mind. In his mind he builded a stronger, harder and angry counterpart of Gillermo,
who also shelter Herrick of being afraid and weak.
"I can't hear you, I won't hear you.....and I will no longer obey anyone."

And third: The resign.
Maybe that is the hardest to describe. After the whole time with Gillermo, Herrick got this "stockholm-syndrom" feeling.
Like he deserved what happened to him, after his betrayal against his people and Gillermo wasn't the culprit.
Gillermo's visits become something welcomed. And not just Gillermo, also other things that he disgusted become more delightful.
That is one distorted feature to heal all the bad experience.
"Hush, I won't tell anybody.....if you don't tell anybody."
