Yeah you're right.
I often just know people's nickname when I meet them in the internet or on cosplay conventions. Same as they know my nickname.
It sounds quite weird when somebody call me by my real name when he isn't from my family or local friends.

Poor mother XD XD Hope she will forgive me. Please excuse me.
